Who can read your book

Every book is private by default. You choose one of three levels in the book’s settings, and you can change it anytime:

• Invite only. Only people you invite by email can read, after they sign in. The share link does not grant access.
• Anyone with the link. Anyone holding the private link can read. It is not indexed by search engines. Rotating the link revokes old ones.
• Public. A permanent page anyone can find and read. This is a deliberate opt-in with a clear warning, because the people in your stories may not have agreed, and once a page is public and crawled it is effectively permanent.

Make your family history AI-ready, privately

You do not have to make anything public to use your family’s history with AI. The private, on-brand way keeps everything yours:

1. In your book, choose Export everything. You get a tidy archive: the book as text and a structured file, every photo and recording, transcripts, and the people and themes, all yours to keep.
2. Open your own AI tool (the assistant you already trust) and upload or paste the exported text, or share the read link with it.
3. Ask it anything, write a tribute, find a story, draft a eulogy, answer a grandchild’s question. Your data stays with you and the AI you chose. We never sell it or train on it.

That is what we mean by family-owned: organized, factual, and ready for AI, on your terms, not ours.
